For our second Wine Tasting Evening of 2017 we will be sharing with our guests the wonderful taste of France.

You’ll enjoy tasting four different French wines with three delicious courses of food too.

The evening will run with a welcome wine, wine to pair with starter, wine to pair with main meal, wine to pair with dessert.

Welcome Drink: Corney & Barrow Sparkling Blanc de Blancs Methode Traditionnelle NV

 Starters – Served with:White Burgundy Domaine Dominique Cornin 2015

 Choice of:

Foie Gras Terrine with toast & fruit chutney

French Onion Soup with cheese flute

Three Cheese Soufflé with apple & walnut salad


Mains – Served with: Chateau Barrail du Blanc Grand Cru St-Emilion 2014

 Choice of:

Duck Confit a l ’orange on braised red cabbage

Salmon en Croute with crème fraiche

Mushroom, Spinach & Parmesan Crêpe


Desserts – Served with: Chateau Septy 2011 Monbazillac Bordeaux

 Choice of:

Hot Chocolate Soufflé with vanilla cream

 Vanilla Crème Brûlée with crisp caramel top

Rhubarb Compote Crêpe with crème fraiche

This is the latest event in our brand new series of wine tasting evenings newly formatted for 2017.

The French Revolution is taking place on Thursday 29th June at 7.00pm at Abbys Upstairs.
